alliteration n. The repetition of a sound or letter in two or more words in a sequence is an alliteration.
Examples: Sing a song of sixpence(※); wild and woolly; bewitched and bewildered; a dime a dozen. The so-called tongue twisters are based primarily on alliteration: rubber baby buggy bumpers; she sells seashells by the seashore; Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers.
